Archery 101 – Usery Park

Usery Mountain Regional Park
Interested in archery? Curious about how to shoot a bow? Come to Usery Park and find out! You will discover how fun archery really is! Participants will experience a fun and safe introduction to recreational and international-style target archery. Equipment will be provided. This program is open to anyone ages 8 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Advanced registration is required. Please call Ranger B at 480-984-0032 to register. Limited to 20 participants. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Meet at the Archery Range. This class is also offered at 10:30am.

My Life is in Ruins – Archaeology Hike – San Tan

San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Out in the desert lies a clue to a prehistoric Arizona, carved into a rock and left untouched for hundreds of years. But what does this symbol mean, and how did it end up in the park? Join us for an exhilarating, archaeological adventure to the mysterious pertoglyph of San Tan. Special guest Gina Gage, of Northland Research, will share stories from the past, and tell you whose life lies in ruins. This hike will be 4 miles round trip. Please wear proper hiking attire and bring plenty of water.
